First, the reassuring part: whatever is hidden from public browsing is never hidden from you. You always see your own pieces in your wallet, regardless of any of the filters below.
What public browsing does filter, at three levels.

That last one catches more cases than the other two together, and it has nothing to do with your piece being wrong: a piece inscribed outside Zoide can simply not be admitted into public browsing yet.
If you tried to list it and the listing was refused
A piece hidden at the piece level cannot be listed at all: the attempt is rejected and no listing is created. So a refusal is information — it means that specific piece is excluded, not that something went wrong with your transaction.
What to do
- Check your wallet. If it is there, nothing has been taken from you. You can still transfer it, and it is still on chain with your name on it.
- Check it in an explorer. Public browsing is our filter; the chain is not filtered. Anyone with the origin can see the piece and its whole history.
- Ask, if you think it is a mistake, from inside the site. Bring the origin — this, copied in full:
As everywhere else: Zoide never contacts you first and has no private messages. Anybody writing to you offering to «unblock» a piece is not us — Staying safe.
