Ways to earn on Zoide

Every mechanism that pays you, who pays it, how much, and when it reaches your wallet. No payout schedule and no minimums — it arrives in the transaction itself.

There are six ways to be paid on Zoide. They are not equivalent: some need capital, some need work, and one needs neither.

They share one thing that is worth stating up front: there is no payout schedule, no minimum and no withdrawal step. Every one of these is an output of the transaction that triggers it, sent straight to your address on chain. When the sale confirms, you have been paid.

Everything below arrives as an amount in your wallet, shown like this — no dashboard, no pending balance:

The table

Mechanism Who pays How much When
Affiliate code the subscriber, out of what the market would receive the percentage set on your code in the subscription transaction
Referral the buyer, on top of the price 1% of the sale in the purchase transaction
Creator royalty the buyer of a resale up to 10% of the price, forever, on every resale in each resale transaction
Being outbid in an auction the next bidder your bid back, plus what is left of the step after 30% market and 35% creator in the bid that outbids you
Someone rating your collection whoever rates it 70% of 1,000,000 sats in the rating transaction
Tips whoever tips you 80,000 sats in the tip transaction

What each one actually requires

Affiliate code — the only one that needs neither capital nor art. You get a code and you share it. Whoever subscribes with it pays less, and you receive a percentage of what they paid. It comes out of the market's share, not out of their discount, so both sides win at once. The percentage is set per code, so it is not the same for everybody. Requires being an affiliate: it is granted, not self-served — Earn with an affiliate code.

Referral is the self-served version, and it pays on a different event: not a subscription but a purchase made through your link, paid by the buyer on top of the price. Anybody can generate a link, but it has one hard condition: the referrer must be subscribed. An unsubscribed referrer earns nothing — the commission is simply not created. That is not a penalty, it is what stops the obvious abuse of referring yourself with throwaway accounts.

Creator royalty is the one that keeps paying. It is written into the piece's on-chain metadata when it is minted, so it applies to every future resale, by anyone, wherever it is sold, for as long as the piece exists. You do not have to be involved in the sale.

Being outbid is worth understanding because it is counter-intuitive: in a Zoide auction, being outbid pays you. Each new bid refunds the previous bidder their bid plus a share of the step. What you are risking is not the money, it is the wait — nobody guarantees a next bid, and the last bidder is the one who takes the piece.

Ratings pay the creator most of the rating fee. It is the only mechanism here where you are paid for work you already did.

Tips are what they sound like.

Where you see it

There is no earnings dashboard, because there is nothing to reconcile: the money is in your wallet balance. What you can look at:

  • Your wallet, for the balance itself.
  • Your affiliate panel, for the codes you have and what they have generated.
  • The sales history of a piece, for royalties that came from resales.
  • And your bell, which tells you the moment something is paid, with the amount:

What this is not

No yield, no staking, no interest, no guaranteed return. Every mechanism above pays only when somebody else does something — buys, bids, rates or tips. If nothing happens, nothing is paid. Prices are what someone is willing to pay and they can go to zero.

Anyone promising you a fixed return on Zoide is not describing Zoide.
