Before you start
- The piece has to be yours, and your wallet unlocked — listing is signed with your keys.
- A fixed fee of 80,000 sats, charged when you list.
- The piece must not already be listed: one active listing per piece. To change the price you cancel the first one and list again, which costs the fee again.
The button
On your own pieces — in your wallet or on the piece's page — the closed padlock is the one that puts it up for sale. It only appears on pieces that are yours and not already listed. The lock is not decoration: it is what listing does, and the next section is about that.
Pressing it asks for one thing — the price — and tells you the fee before you sign:
What you get
Exactly the price you set. The market fee and any royalty are added on top and paid by the buyer, so what you type is what arrives in your wallet.
What listing actually does
The piece does not go anywhere and Zoide does not hold it. It stays where it is, wrapped in a lock that says one thing: this can only be released by paying its owner this exact amount.
Which means:
- Nobody can take it without paying you. Not another user, not us. The amount is part of the lock, not a promise.
- You can cancel whenever you want and get it back unlocked — for 80,000 sats.
- You do not need to be present. The buyer does not need your signature, so it can sell while you sleep.
How to know it worked
The piece shows as listed in your wallet, with its price, and it appears in the market — the market reads listings from the chain's index, so give that a minute.
If it does not show up: My listing does not show up.
Setting a price
Two things worth knowing before you pick a number:
- The buyer pays more than your price (your price plus the fees). If you are pricing against another listing, compare like with like.
- If you minted the piece here, you keep earning on it. Every future resale by anybody pays you a royalty, forever. See Ways to earn on Zoide.
