What is stored on your device and why there is no cookie banner here.

Cookie Policy

This policy explains what Zoide NFT stores on your device, why, and how you can remove it. It covers cookies and also the equivalent browser storage mechanisms — localStorage and sessionStorage — because the applicable rules are about storing information on your device, not about the particular technology used to do it.

We do not ask you for consent, and here is why

Zoide NFT uses only strictly necessary storage: the minimum required for the site to work and for your session to stay signed in. There is no analytics, no advertising, no profiling and no third-party tracking cookie anywhere on this site. Storage of this kind is exempt from prior consent, which is why you will not find a cookie banner here.

We used to load Google Analytics. It was removed: the product measurements we need (which channel brings visitors, which converts) are computed on our own servers from our own records, so there was no reason to send your browsing to a third party.

Cookies we set

CookiePurposeDuration
laravel_session Keeps your session between page loads: without it you would be signed out on every click. Session, up to 24 hours of inactivity
XSRF-TOKEN Security. Proves that a form or request came from this site and not from a third party impersonating you. Session

That is the complete list. Your language and your light/dark theme preference are not stored in a cookie: they travel in your session and, if you have an account, in your profile.

Browser storage we use

This is not cookies, but it is stored on your device and you are entitled to know about it. None of it is sent to us automatically: it stays in your browser and is read by the page itself.

KeyPurpose
W-*, WB-* Your wallet, encrypted. This is the most important entry in this table: your private keys live here, in your browser, encrypted with your password — never on our servers. Clearing this without a backup means losing access to your wallet.
multiwallet Which of your wallets is the active one.
zoide:view:*, zoide:market:viewMode Whether you last used the grid or the list view, per page.
zoide:chat:* Chat state: whether the window is collapsed, when you last read it, and your recently used emojis.
zoide:subprompt:* How many times you have visited and how many times you have dismissed the subscription suggestion — so we stop showing it.
affiliate_pitch_dismissed You closed the affiliate programme notice and do not want to see it again.
bulkPendingData A bulk operation in progress, so it survives a page change. Cleared when you close the tab.

Third parties

No third party sets cookies on this site. There is, however, one connection you should know about: the artwork of each piece is served from the blockchain content gateway at ordinals.gorillapool.io. When a page shows pieces, your browser fetches those images or files directly from that gateway, which means your IP address reaches it. It is technically unavoidable — that is where on-chain content lives — and it is not used by us for tracking.

Links to Discord, X, Treechat or a blockchain explorer are ordinary links: nothing is sent to them until you click.

How to remove it

Every browser lets you delete cookies and site storage for a specific site, usually under Settings → Privacy. Read this first: deleting the storage of this site also deletes the encrypted wallet stored in your browser. If you have not exported or written down your recovery data, you will lose access to it. Deleting the cookies alone only signs you out.

Changes and contact

If we ever add storage that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before installing it and this policy will be updated first. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
