A referral link is the self-served way to earn here: you share a piece, somebody buys it through your link, and you are paid a percentage of the sale.
It pays on purchases, which makes it the counterpart of an affiliate code — that one pays on subscriptions and has to be granted. This one you set up yourself.
Setting it up, once
Ask for your referral key. It is generated once and it is yours from then on: asking again returns the same key, so there is nothing to keep track of and nothing to rotate.
After that, pieces show a rocket button that copies the link for that piece. There is no separate dashboard to visit — the link is where the piece is:
Pressing it puts the link on your clipboard, ready to paste wherever you are going to share it. The link is the piece's own page with your key on the end, so anybody who opens it sees the piece, not a landing page.
What you earn
1% of the sale price, paid by the buyer on top of the price, in the purchase transaction. It does not come out of the seller's money and it does not come out of the market's fee: both still apply, and yours stacks with them.
You get a notification with the amount when it is paid. And, as with everything on Zoide, the money is already in your wallet by the time you read it — there is nothing to claim.
Any piece, not just yours
You can refer anything on the market. You do not have to own it, have minted it or have anything to do with its creator. If you are the reason somebody found it, that is the whole requirement.
The condition you can lose without noticing
You must have an active subscription when the purchase happens. If it has lapsed, the commission is not created at all — the sale goes through with the normal fee and nothing is set aside for you.

Nothing warns you retroactively. The visible signal is that the rocket button stops appearing on pieces: if your links used to be there and are not, check your subscription before assuming it is a bug.
A referral pays for bringing somebody else. Buying through your own link is not a discount, and it is not what the mechanism is for.
The link is per piece
Each link points at one piece. There is no generic «my link» that pays on anything a person ever buys: the referral is attached to the piece you shared and to that visit.
So sharing five pieces means five links. The rocket button gives you the right one wherever you are.
