Your wallet page does not read the blockchain every time you open it. It reads a stored copy of your inventory that the platform builds by asking the chain, and that is the only reason a wallet with thousands of pieces opens at all.
Almost every "my wallet looks wrong" is that copy being out of date.
Resync it
The resync button is on your wallet page, at the end of the toolbar. Only the owner of a wallet can resync it. Its colour is already telling you something, and while it runs it counts:
It rebuilds the copy from the chain: pieces that were missing appear, pieces you sold disappear, and the totals recompute.
You will also see a resync button inside a warning on the offers page, because offers you received are matched against the pieces in your wallet — if that copy is empty or stale, what you are shown there can be incomplete.
If it says it is syncing and does not seem to finish
A big wallet is synced in waves, and a very large one continues across several passes. What to check, in order:
- Give it a few minutes and reload. The page polls for the result; it does not need you to stay.
- Check whether it is your wallet or the whole chain. If the site is showing a general warning that on-chain data is behind, the platform is waiting on the indexer and no amount of resyncing will help — it will resolve on its own.
- Resync once, not repeatedly. Launching it again while it runs does not make it faster.
If the BSV balance is what looks wrong
That number comes from a different place: it is read for your addresses directly. Two ordinary reasons for it to look off:
- A recent transaction is not confirmed yet. It shows as pending until it is in a block.
- You are looking at one address of several. If you have more than one wallet, the total and the individual balances are not the same number.
If it is a counter, not the wallet
The notification badge and the online-users counter arrive over a live connection, not with the page. A laptop that was asleep, or a phone with the tab in the background, can lose that connection without telling you.
Coming back to the tab is the fix. When it regains focus and the connection is down, those counters are fetched again and updated in place. You do not have to reload, and there is nothing to press.
