Send a piece to someone

One transaction, a fixed fee, and no way back. The checks worth doing before you sign.

Before you start

Your wallet unlocked — a transfer is signed with your ordinals key.
A fixed fee of 80,000 sats.
The recipient: their Zoide username, or their ordinals address. See the warning below.

The button

What happens

One transaction moves the piece from your ordinals address to theirs. That is all: no acceptance step on their side, no pending state, no cancel window.

The recipient does not have to do anything, and does not have to be a Zoide user — a piece can be sent to any valid BSV ordinals address.

A username is safer than an address

The destination field takes either. If you type a username, your browser looks it up and uses that user's ordinals address — so there is no address for you to get wrong. Prefer it when you can.

A transfer cannot be undone. Not by you, not by the recipient, not by us. A piece sent to a wrong-but-valid address is gone — the same property that stops anybody from taking your pieces stops anybody from clawing one back.

If you are pasting an address instead, three habits worth having:

An address is shown shortened with a copy button — use the button, not your eyes

Copy and paste, never retype. One wrong character in a valid-looking address is enough, and an address that is well-formed but not the one you meant looks exactly like a correct one.
Ask for the ordinals address, not «their address». A wallet has two: one for payments and one for pieces. A piece sent to a payment address is not where anybody will look for it.
If it is a valuable one, send something cheap first and have them confirm they received it.

How to know it worked

The piece leaves your wallet, and the recipient gets a notification (You received a piece) if they are on Zoide and have that category switched on — it is off by default, so its absence does not mean anything went wrong.

Either way the transaction is public: with the txid, anybody can confirm where the piece went.

Not the same as selling

A transfer gives the piece away: no payment is involved. If you want to be paid, list it instead — Put a piece up for sale.
