A collection you send is reviewed by a person. While that happens it has a status, and the status is what decides whether you can still edit it.
The four states

| Approved | Accepted. The drop is created at this point | Nothing to do here — go to your drop |

If it was rejected
The reason is shown with the collection. It is written by whoever reviewed it, so it says what was actually wrong rather than a generic code.
Rejection is not a verdict on you and it is not final for the work: fix what the reason names and submit again. A rejected collection keeps its place in your queue until you delete it, so tidy up what you are not going to resubmit.

Approved or rejected, you get a notification. It is in the Submissions category — if you switched that off, you will not hear about it and the status page is the only place it shows. See Notifications.
Approved is not the same as live
The drop is created when the collection is approved, but a created drop is not automatically a drop people can mint: its start date, your rank delays, its live flag and its window all have a say.
